about

G-Prod featuring Mike Anderson - Take us to the heavens.

Remixed by Guido Nemola, Laurent Maldo, and Jules Wells. French Brothers G-Prod make their debut on Bakroom, with their brand new single "Take us to the Heavens" with deep thought-provoking vocals by Mike Anderson.

Their last outing in April 2016, was an excellent house remix of Lee Trax - Chicago Suite on Kanikule. In 1987, Rhythm Control released a track called "My House" and we don't often compare house music here as we believe each track should be judged solely on its own merit, but we mention one of the very first house records as the Original mix of Take us to the Heavens lays a spoken vocal foundation which is of a similar nature, layered with perfectly crafted beats, set off with its deep melodic undertones, a real modern-day House record, the melancholic melodies never overpower and the Orchestral strings soar all over this mature production with Mikes smooth vocal, Taking center stage.

The First Remix in the package is a pumping melodic techno interpretation by Laurent Maldo and Jules Wells and is a quite stunning remake, which has made its way into the DJ boxes/sets of Derrick May @ Rex Club and received excellent feedback by French Techno DJ producer Pioneer Laurent Garnier.
The final remix in our package comes courtesy of the talented Guido Nemola, owner of excellent Italian based label Recycle records. We first came across his work in 2006, with his release on the famous Junior Boys Own Records - Jack In The City / Flight. Since then, Guido has appeared on Monique Musique, Abstract Theory, Sea of Sand Records, Wasabi, and Doppelganger. He delivers a fresh House take on 'Take us to the heavens'. His re-rub is laced with subtle fluctuating 303's and really smooth programming. The atmosphere Guido consistently creates has smooth yet defined edges.
